I enjoyed not being the only tourist on this holiday. It was also a unique holiday in that I was one of the drivers for once! I took a few pictures of London as I'd not managed to do the tourist pictures yet, and I really did want to convince people that 'Chinatown' in London is a very small affair and not the massive section of the city which they built in the online MUSH "Sanguinis Nobilis."
On Sunday the 2nd Jo, AJ, Bex, and myself went for a drive. We ended up near Argy Pargy. (Arqua Petrarca, home of Petrarc) The Italians were all out for Sunday walks. Everyone kept staring at us. I couldn't figure out why because I knew I wasn't driving somewhere illegal. A comment was made by someone (me?): Maybe they're just wondering why Jesus is out for a Sunday drive? The statement was strangely predictive considering Gargunnock #3....
I wish I had snapped a picture of my little drawings in the log book. This was the trip where I was searched and 'questioned' at least 4 times on the trip from Gatwick to Verona. Little kids seemed to be quite worried about me, and grownups often stared at my boots rather intently as I wandered by. We had great weather for the trip. Apparently it was the first week with almost no rain that they'd had that season. The log book was certainly full of people complaining bitterly about the weather.
